MSA Promotion Requirements

Middle School Academy students must meet the following requirements to advance to High School.

Grade 7

Pass any four subjects listed below to be promoted to Grade 8 AND meet all requirements for FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) or an alternative assessment.

  • M/J Language Arts 2
  • M/J Mathematics 2
  • M/J Reading 2
  • M/J Comprehensive Science 2
  • M/J Geography
  • Elective (whole year)

Grade 8

Pass any four subjects listed below to be promoted to Grade 9 AND meet all requirements of FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) or an alternative assessment.

  • M/J Language Arts 3
  • M/J Mathematics3
  • M/J Reading 3
  • M/J Comprehensive Science 3
  • M/J United States History
  • Elective (whole year)
